The right way to start a day is with a tasty breakfast... and that's when we decided to stop by Blacksmith to try some of its fresh breakfast options. 


As soon as we opened the back door of this rustic and artistic coffee shop located in the Montrose area, we could smell the coffee aromas. Its fabulous ambience and the outstanding customer service since we open that door bought us.


At first glance, Blacksmith is simply too small, but in reality, the owners have done their best to take advantage of every inch of available space. Every ledge is a possible sitting area and although we appreciate the effort, because we love this place, seating is still limited.


Blacksmith got 3 new fans.  We suggest you to add it to your list if you have not had the opportunity to check it out. You will not want to pass this one by.

Croissant 

with bentons bacon, egg & cheddar

The croissant was heavenly. Well done Blacksmith! 


The bacon was perfectly crispy, the egg was cooked very well (the yolk reached the desired consistency) and the light touch of the cheddar was glorious. 


We highly recommend it.

Croissant 

with chicken cabbage salad

It was delicious. The only reason we did not give it 5 moons was because we believed that the chicken cabbage salad was a little dry. It was missing the magic touch of a sauce.


Probably a greek yogurt would go well with this one because it would give a little of creaminess to the salad and at the same time it would not opaque the taste of it.

Cappuccino

No words! The baristas know how to play with the coffee. The cappuccino was exceptional. 


Perfect temperature, size and an adequate  balance of coffee and milk.
