Museum Park Café

Museum Park Cafe

-------------------------------------------

This brand new restaurant located in the heart of the Museum District has a lot of potential!

The place is small, very modern and bright. We went there at night, and We are sure that this place is a very nice option during the day considering the glass walls surrounding the place.

The service was exceptional, the manager was constantly checking on the tables and the staff was very friendly. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and he was very honest about the portions and flavors.

Even though we really enjoyed the service and the food we sadly have to say that in general the place felt a bit cold and lonely. We are not sure if this was due the minimalistic decoration, the bright light for dinner or that the place was basically empty and quite for a Thursday night.

We really hope they can find a way to fix these small details because their food is absolutely delicious.

Museum Park Caesar

little gem, white anchovy, crispy egg, lemon vinaigrette

-------------------------------------------

How different or special can a Cesar Salad be? Well, if you try the Museum Park Café Caesar Salad you will know! They have created a very creative version of a regular Cesar Salad.

The flavors were delicious and the presentation was really inviting. What it was normally the ordinary grated Parmesan cheese on top of a salad, in Museum Park, it  is a group of crunchy parmesan puffs.

Also that called our attetion was the little gem! usually an egg is part of the dressing, in this case, it is a fried broiled egg that we cut it in half and the still raw yolk would spread around the magnificent dish taking part into the glorious Cesar dressing.

We were amazed by this dish.

Atlantic Scallops

pork belly, corn pudding, charred onions, chanterelle

-------------------------------------------

By far, one of the best scallops dish we have ever had! They were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented.

Even though we were not convinced about the pork, we have to say that we really enjoyed every bite of those scallops. The sautéed mushrooms and baby corns gave the special touch.

This dish is A MUST!

Parisienne Gnocchi

roasted mushrooms, chile, arugula, brown butter

-------------------------------------------

This completely meatless dish came out with delicious roasted mushrooms and the magic touch of the brown butter. Here, they managed to strike a great balance. The gnocchi hold their shapes and softness.

However, the only complain could be that there was not nothing special about its taste. It was missing something (probably a small touch of a delicate sauce) that could make this dish distinctive among other gnocchi dishes.

Corn Fritter

banana pudding, dulce de leche-chamomile ice cream, cilantro

-------------------------------------------

Chef Leung did a great job again!

We were not dure about the combination of corn, dulce de leche and chamomile, but because we love to try new things... We could not say no to this one!

The textures and the variety of flavors worked very well together on this dessert. We could easily find the taste of the fried corn and the ice cream at the same time.

A very enjoyable and distinct dessert. Well done Chef!!!
